Ted started E. Willingham Engineering during 1986 as a hobby and operated part-time from his home and garage produced component drawings and offered a drilling service for simple components.
Profits were reinvested in more equipment to offer a more complete service. Since Ted had an interest in machinery this area of the market was specifically targeted eventually paying off in 1989 when a contract to produce mechanisms for light bulb machinery was received. The work was too much to handle on a part time basis and the decision was made to launch the business full time.
Later that year the business moved into its present workshops in Temple Cloud.
The business was consolidated and despite turndowns in the market during the early 1990's has continued to expand the product and processes offering a more complete service.
